Judicial appointments - interview training and tips for solicitors

This training course has been developed for solicitors applying for judicial appointments. The JAC will launch a new round of vacancies for Recorders, District Judges (Civil), Salaried Judges of the Upper Tier and Circuit Judges throughout March, April and May. Participants will be helped to complete the self assessment application form, demonstrating that they fulfil the requirements of the selection criteria, and to undertake a mock panel interview.

In 2010, the Environmental Audit Committee linked poor air quality to severe health problems such as respiratory illness, heart disease and asthma and to environmental degradation. In towns and cities, 70% air pollution is caused by transport. The end of 2011 is the extended deadline given to London by the European Commission to curb particulates (PM10) to levels set by the 2008 Air Quality directive and to avoid a substantial fine.
