Considering moving into private client work? If so, this two-day course run in association with the College of Law provides the perfect practical introduction to this resilient practice area.
The course is designed for solicitors interested in moving into private client work and will provide the basics to enable delegates to cope with the immediate demands of practice in this area. First held in November 2009, the JLD is re-running the course in response to popular demand.
Overview
The session will cover introductions to:
- wills
- inheritance tax
- trusts in wills
- estate planning principles
- procedure during probate administration
- claims being made against an estate
- consideration of post-death planning opportunities
This event is eligible for 11 CPD hours.
Who should attend?
The session has been developed for solicitors with up to five years PQE who are considering moving into private client work having practised in other areas. However solicitors with more than five years PQE are also welcome to attend the course.
