The opening of the Black History Month exhibition will take place at the Law Society on 1st October from 6.00pm.  There will be a drinks reception following the opening until 7.30pm.  Please click 'register now' to book for this event.  If you unable to book online please email blackhistorymonth@lawsociety.org.uk with your details.

The Exhibition will consist of a photograph and accopmanying booklet with biographical details of 20 of the top black lawyers in England and Wales.  The Exhibition will run from Friday 1st October to Wednesday 29th October.  Entry is free.

The Law Society is also running two other events to celebrate Black History Month

Inspirational Event - 15 October 6.00-9.30pm, The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1PL

The event will begin at 6.00pm with soft drinks and nibbles followed by a keynote address from Lady Justice Dobbs,  the first black judge appointed to the High Court, and then inspriational talks from high profile black lawyers including Oba Nsugbe QC, 3 Pump Court Chambers and Angela Jackman, Maxwell Gillott Solicitors. 

After the event there will be food, drink, entertainment and networking opportunities with successful black lawyers.  The purpose of this event is to inspire black lawyers, trainees, those completing LPC courses and those interested in a career in the law, to achieve their full potential.  The event will finish at 9.30pm.

A fun quiz night on 29th October, Six Clerks Bar, The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane

Tickets are £3 per person or £15 for a team of 6.  All monies collected will go to the Diatetes UK.  There will also be a raffle with great prizes to be won.  Please click on the link below to book your place.
